Lindsy Carter is a Louisville, Kentucky–based nonprofit communications strategist and writer with nearly twenty years of experience advancing justice-centered work through narrative change. She leads multi-channel communications for social impact organizations, crafting clear, values-aligned messaging that strengthens public engagement and organizational support.

Lindsy’s personal writing includes op-eds on the prison industrial complex and police reform, as well as poetry and essays on mothering, state violence, and other daily devastations. Her professional and personal writing practice is grounded in the belief that storytelling is a sacred responsibility.

She has worked remotely since 2010 and loves wandering new cities, paddleboarding, and good tattoos.
